I have NT w/SP6 using Apache 1.3.12 and PHP4.01.pl2 and I had no problems
using mySQL with this configuration, but now I have to use Oracle 8.1.6. I
installed Oracle and I have verified that it is working, here are some of
the things I've done so far:
Created a Table for testing my demo
set my tnsnames.ora file and tnsping responds with an "OK"
Created a $ORACLE_HOME environment variable to point to c:\oracle\ora81
My system $PATH points to c:\oracle\ora81\bin
I've downloaded some php modules (php_oracle.dll, php_oci8.dll,
php_odbc.dll) and placed them in my php's extension directory (c:\php) and
enabled them to be used in my php.ini file (extension=php_oci8.dll).
I used the following php code to try to connect to oracle, and got the
following error.
PHP Code:
$user = "scott";
$pass = "tiger";
$tns_name = "oracle";
$db_id=ocilogon($user,$pass,$tns_name);
printf("DB_ ID is: %s", $db_id);
$ociError=OCIError();
if($ociError){
print("Error Msg: $ociError");
}
Error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: ocilogon() in c:\program
files\apache group\apache\htdocs\phpdev\orcl_demo.php on line 14
Line 14 is "$db_id=ocilogon($user,$pass,$tns_name);"
It seems that it is exspecting a function called "ocilogon" in my script
instead in the dll
Any help would be much appreciated!!!!
