Hi I don't use PWS, or indeed php3, however I'm pretty sure that mail() should work ok on your platform. The 'failed to connect' message usually means that the mail server configured (SMTP) in your php3.ini file is incorrect, or, if it is correct, then a connection to the server could not be made - perhaps because your are not dialled up to your ISP.
