I've got an upcoming client that currently uses an Access 2000 database.
They have spent all kinds of money (too bad for them) on creating a data
entry GUI for all of their employess to enter information into the database,
so I really don't have flexibility on which db to use.
The server is going to be NT 4. I'm going to have full control of the
server, and as I've found php the coolest thing (and way more fun than ASP),
I'm seriously considering using it on this project.
I guess what I'm looking for is some kind of reaction or objection to
utilizing PHP with Access, or if theres a cool workaround (I'd even like it
if anyones used a method of sharing current data with an Access db and
another db).
Any kind of comments on reliability of the match (PHP and Access) and also
any information on replicating or mirroring databases would be greatly
appreciated.
