Unable to install PHP4

Hello, everybody: I'm trying to install PHP 4.0.0 on a computer running Apache 1.3.9 on Win NT 4.0. I've followed all the steps in the documentation (copying and renaming the .ini file into the folder \winnt, copying the .dll file into the folder winnt\system32, modifying both php.ini and httpd.conf) but I'm unable to run the simplest of the applications, as I get an internal server error. If I look at Apache's error log, I get the following two lines: [Mon Jun 12 18:45:55 2000] [error] [client 172.16.139.98] c:/php/main.php is not executable; ensure interpreted scripts have "#!" first line [Mon Jun 12 18:45:55 2000] [error] [client 172.16.139.98] (2)No such file or directory: couldn't spawn child process: c:/php/main.php c:\php\ is the folder where php.exe is, and main.php is my first .php page.
