The <php4>sapi/servlet/README is pretty much all the doc there is.
What exactly would you like to know? Essentially, the servlet
feature is a Java servlet that hosts the PHP engine so that it
can run within a servlet enabled web server (such as Tomcat
or JServ). It also embeds the PHP Java feature so that you
can reference Java objects from within your PHP script. See
the <php4>ext/java/README for info on that capability.
As Daniel mentioned, don't try and use servlet with php4.0.3
but it should be ok with the latest development snapshot.
