I may not be much help to you as I don't have any flavour of Windows 9X here
(and hope I never do!), but since I wrote the installer, I know what it
should have done!
Apart from sticking all the files in the correct places and editing the
php.ini file, it adds the script mappings for the php extensions you chose
to the registry.
I don't know if PWS on Win9x supports multiple script map nodes (i.e. if
different folders are allowed to have different script maps). If it does,
the installer only sets the script mapping for the root node, so any deeper
nodes can override the script map setting - this would stop php getting a
look in.
I'm not sure whether your version of PWS supports ISAPI modules, but even if
it does, I'd stick to the cgi version for getting started anyway. You can
check if php itself is working by running php.exe in a command window by
changing directory to c:\php and typing 'php.exe -i' - that should spew out
the phpinfo() information as html.
It turns out that all the %s %s stuff in the script mapping is not needed
anymore with php, so just mapping the file extension to the full path to the
executable should be ok.
Any Win9x PWS users out there with any other ideas?
Cheers
