It all comes down to resources. There are simply more open source developers contributing to the UNIX side of the project. Until more Windows developers decide to pitch in and help out, PHP will always be better on UNIX systems than on Windows systems. You can dream up all the conspiracy theories you like, but they are simply not true. We would love to have the Windows version as stable as the UNIX version, but with 3 or 4 active Windows developers vs. 30+ active UNIX developers, there will always be a discrepancy. You can help out by convincing good Windows developers to help fix problems. -Rasmus
