Granted, and nothing is ever final in this industry. For the long term PHP
is still an option, but not on this round of projects.

Not so, one of the areas that ASP beats PHP (3, but reading this newsgroup
it would seem 4 has probs too) is in the fact that it handles sessions.
Believe me, PHP is something I want to succeed - just for not being M$.
However, I think it suffers the same fate of most things open source - a
lack of support at a professional level. There is no way I could recommend
this list as an alternative to the service agreement we already have with
Microsoft.
