I am trying to connect to a ms sql 7 server from a win2k server using php
4.0.3pl1 and I get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mssql_connect() in
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\dbtest2.php on line 2
line two is: $linkID = mssql_connect("localhost","user","password");
I have searched the php.net site and their solution in the FAQ is to use
ODBC. I would rather not use that and would prefer to connect directly to
the sql server instead in adding another layer between php and mssql. Does
anyone know what I am doing wrong? Is it possible to do this?
Thanks.
