Compiling php4apache with EAPI

Hi,
I have successfully managed to compile php4apache, and it seems to work OK.
But, the distribution of Apache I use uses EAPI, rather than the "plain
Apache API" php4apache expects, resulting in the following message being
displayed each time Apache is started/restarted/quit:
[Tue Jun 20 15:09:21 2000] [warn] Loaded DSO modules/php4apache.dll uses
plain Apache 1.3 API, this module might crash under EAPI! (please recompile
it with -DEAPI)
How do I recompile it with -DEAPI under MS VC6 Ent? I need mod_perl and the
version/distribution of this that I have (mod_perl/1.23) requires the EAPI.
Any help greatly appreciated,
