Mhh ... now i'm a bit confused and i don't now really what should i do. In my HTML the charset is ISO-8859-1 and yes it displayes õäöü correctly. Now my xml file has the same character encoding, but when i insert manually (like editing with notepad) those letter into that document DOM XML can't read it. And dump_file() is DOM XML function - that's why it doesen't let to create new document with those letters ... i think. And if the xml char encoding was UTF-8 ... then DOM XML couldn't read the file either.
Get an editor, which can handle encodings correctly (textpad, jEdit, vim, emacs, whatever ;) ) and make sure, that you're xml file is saved as iso-8859-1 again. If this still doesn't work, bring up a self-contained example. chregu
So i'm out of ideas here. Are there any other supperted char encodings that i should use or anything else? Allso i'm using PHP 4.7. Thnx
