Nor I said that. Read again.Unicode is not the same as UTF-8, get your facts straight. But i must use estonian language characters like: õ ä ö ü So i think UTF-8 charset should do fine here but xml DOM had some kind of problems when encoding was utf-8.All those characters are part of ISO-8859-1. You should not need to use Unicode.
I am trying to help a user that requested help by sharing code that does what he asks. It seems that you do not want me to help others. Maybe you should try to help them yourself instead of trying to boycott me. -- Regards, Manuel Lemos PHP Classes - Free ready to use OOP components written in PHP http://www.phpclasses.org/ PHP Reviews - Reviews of PHP books and other products http://www.phpclasses.org/reviews/ Metastorage - Data object relational mapping layer generator http://www.meta-language.net/metastorage.htmlYou may want to try this XML writer class. If you really insist to convert the encoding to UTF-8, just specify UTF-8 as output encoding, but I don't think it is necessary:And bloody hell do the advertising somewhere else. You should know better by now.
