You're checking out all branches on a case-insensitive filesystem (such as MacOS HFS+), and both Zend and ZEND are branch names. Check out a smaller subset (like only one branch, or only the trunk), or move to a case-sensitive filesystem (you can create a disk image on OS X) if you really want the 30GB full checkout of php-src with all its tags and branches for some reason. .....
In theory we could, but in practice there's pretty much never a reason to check out both branches this way. Trying to do is usually the very time-consuming result of leaving off "trunk" or the branch name when trying to checkout a tree in SVN, since CVS users aren't used to the new layout of branches and tags as part of the filesystem.
Thanks. I do usually work in svn repositories on this level, as sometimes it's more useful to have all the branches for copying/moving/reference etc. For my uses of PHP I probably won't need this either, but while I agree it may not be necessary (and perhaps not always wanted due to size), I'm not sure if other people will want to work this way or not if they touch a lot more branches and/or tags. (?).
Sweet, how often is this updated?
At the moment it's not synchronized to CVS in any way. It will be occassionally updated if and when I have cause to re-run the entire conversion. I have no plans at the moment to do a synchronization scheme; it will be a flip-a-switch change when SVN goes into effect.
Makes sense, I'm sure the conversion process isn't a short one ;-). thanks! -shire
