Ben,
The reason I chose to use Google Groups for KnoxPyPHP is a simple one,
it's rewarding to run a PUG but not so rewarding to have to spend time
maintaining, marketing, and supporting the little tools used by the
Group. Google has a platform that's well exposed and freely available
for use, it served our needs because we only needed a discussion group,
I'm still hosting our Blog (and really need to finish it) but we use
Google apps for mail and so forth so it only made sense.
