Lester, you are right, everyhing is being pushed forward far too fast. But may be forward is not so bad. We are using mysql and iterbase extensions for years. And now mysql extension is deprecated. This forced us to start slowly switching from both of these extensions to PDO. And now I think that PDO is really better that old style extensions and some drivers (like mysql) ready for production. So I decided to patch PDO firebird extension also. Now both drivers working on production sites (new code we are writing with PDO, and slowly rewriting old code where applicable) P.S. I never heard about php adodb before, so I cannot say anything about it. But from my personal point of view it looks like abandoned (last modified 2012-09-04) 2013/10/13 Lester Caine <lester@lsces.co.uk> > > Vjacheslav V.
