Considering pdo_mysql has a ton of special constants I can't understand why pdo_firebird shouldn't get special attributes for isolation level when proper documented. The overall PDO should unify all database access is already broken at binding level.
PDO only supports a single database in a transaction while Firebird ( and Interbase ) support cross database transactions. So we have to use the generic driver a lot of the time anyway. Why also support a badly restricted one? ADOdb will quite happily handle PDO as well as the generic drivers and creates a 'flat field' without many of the restrictions PDO created. -- Lester Caine - G8HFL ----------------------------- Contact - http://lsces.co.uk/wiki/?page=contact L.S.Caine Electronic Services - http://lsces.co.uk EnquirySolve - http://enquirysolve.com/ Model Engineers Digital Workshop - http://medw.co.uk Rainbow Digital Media - http://rainbowdigitalmedia.co.uk
