OTOH, you didn't specify --with-iconv=/usr/local in your configure line either.. Check the config.log for the iconv checks. I didn't mean that, though. Could you try the last libtool line you pasted in your previous comment, but with gcc replaced with g++? This is the only program to do this. I even tried to recompile Sablotron, thinking that the libs changed with the new compiler. Sabcmd still works fine just like before, and PHP refuses to link to it.
