From: pahluwalia@hotmail.com Operating system: Win 2000 PHP version: 4.2.3 PHP Bug Type: Scripting Engine problem Bug description: POST not working Hi ! I did read all the problems related with POST, but they all suggest to get the latest version, so I have 4.2.3 ... when I use GET, it works fine(with a small problem) but when I use POST it doesn't ! Code: <form action="find.php" method="post"> Design Number: <input type="text" name="design"> <input type="submit"> </form> in find.php:- $input = $_POST["design"]; RESULT: Undefined index: design I am not accessing the var directly, so no problem related with globals ! The problem with GET is that if the size of total var's I am using to pass through Form is more than 50 char's , it gives garbled values in the URL ! Strange... Would be waiting for answers !!! -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=19365&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=19365&r=trysnapshot Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=19365&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=19365&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=19365&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=19365&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=19365&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=19365&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=19365&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=19365&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=19365&r=globals
