I can come into that. Fortunately, there is also a feature called ".vimrc"
in VIM ;-)
So, what about changing all modelines to:
* vim600: fdm=marker
* vi: noet sw=4 ts=4
to get them working with vim < 600 too? And en-passant also VI.
Note that tw is left away, people who still want it, can add it to their
~/.vimrc.
Any objections?
