The errors that I encountered where:
1) An outdated gds32.dll ( in WINNT/System32 ) which has to be deleted
BEFORE Interbase 6 is installed or the php_interbase.dll will not load
(maybe your problem is related to this).
2) A flakey IBConsole application, you will need the latest version from
Borland (download for free) and just replace the one that comes with the
ZIP installion file for IB6. I used IBConsole to restore my backed up
IB5.6 database, thus converting it to v6.
3) Now a weird one: All the ibase PHP functions work except for
ibase_query which does not work if the link_identifier is included as a
parameter.
These are the three little problems that I encountered, I hope this
information helps.
