I am witnessing the following weird problem across various redhat boxen
(5.2 & 6.2) and differning versions of php (3.0.11 and 4.0.3) linked
with oracle 8.0.5 libraries. Under heavy load, a childs connection
seems to get munged. Php recognizes that the connection is bad, but
never attempts to reopen it, this means that the apache child maintains
a persistent non-connection and simply returns errors until it exits
naturally. This seems to be wrong behaviour. Is this a know bug in the
ora (not oci) functions?
Thanks,
George
P.S. Yes, I know that oci8 is the preferred interface.
