PHP4 and PHP3 happy together?

Hello. I just took on a job where the PHP was done in 3. I wanna either
finish it in 4 or rewrite this app in 4. But there are a few others that
are too big to rewrite at the moment, if ever.
There are no problems with 3 and 4 coexisting are there? I've done only
one job in PHP site and got hooked. So I took this one on also. So I
haven't been in it long enough to know the difference between the two.
