Re: PHP 4.0 Bug #2558: make fails - zend_config.h is missing.

I forgot to "Reply all" :) I checked the bug database and the poster of this bug is using SuSE 6.2. By default, SuSE 6.2 doesn't install "flex" (I have *no* idea why they changed this, but they did). If flex/lex is missing, then the libzend make will fail (because the configure script won't generate the makefile for that directory properly). Use YAST to install flex and everything will build just fine; I'm using PHP 4.0B2 as an Apache module for a project and I had to go through this. PHP guys: I'm not sure how to "fix" configure so that it stops when encountering this problem.
