Hi all,
as far as I have seen php is on the way getting a module system.
Some kind of convention how to build libraries.
If I'm right it's a great step ahead for us php developers (oh
man, sounds like a phrase...). But wouldn't it be better to have
further on coding and documentation standards. I'm thinking of
something similar if not equal to javadoc. javadoc stands for
basic code documentation and seems to get a widely accepted way
of placing documentation within the source.
I'm quite sure I don't have to argue about the benefits of a
coding standard for a single developer. Code developed some
weeks, months or even years can be far easier understood than
undocumented chunks of letters und semicolons. But I want to
think about the meaning of coding and documentation standards
when it comes to libraries and reusable source. What would be the
CPAN without a standard documentation system...
So, is anybody working on coding and documentation standards?
Ulf
