Yes COM is supported in the Win32 version of PHP4. There was preliminary support in PHP3, but I don't think it was any good. I don't know if there is any documentation on it yet but you should go to http://phpbuilder.com and search the mailing lists for COM or COM support or similiar. Also here is a post that deals with your question. http://www.zend.com/phorum/read.php?num=3&id=21&loc=0&thread=21 Michael Markus Geiger wrote: > Hi Gurus ! > > I'm quite new to PHP, but what I've seen so far is really great. > In the past, I've developed distributed multi-tier applications > mainly on WinNT plattforms and I always used IIS/ASP, if there > was a need for a plain HTML interface for the app. > N-Tier programming on WinNT however relies heavily on COM/DCOM, > 'cause all business logic operations are delegated to some > COM-Object that (usually) runs in a transaction context > (separating UI-stuff from logic and from persistance).
