as this might be coming up again and again,
what about an #error directive immediately behind
the first #if HAVE_MOD_DAV in ext/dav/dav.c
something like:
#if HAVE_MOD_DAV
#error DAV support in PHP is broken and needs to be \
completely rewritten. Try it only at your OWN RISK!
this way it should be fairly obvious what's going wrong ...
