The "::" is something strange. Some use the word static to describe it.
But it's not a reall static access. If it would be a static call, how
come do() (example in the archive) is allowed to use $this (Stanislav
explained why it works). And if it's only used to access overriden
methods, how come you can use it outside a class? "::" is a little bit
of everything, don't get confused .
I´ve read the whole thread again and unfortunately there was nothing
said about a static access on classes members other than beeing not
possible Perhaps :: will be extended... in the future...
until then... no static calls at all:(
