I can live without static properties, although I would like to
see them. Static properties are a must when you're doing heavy OO
or working with a "pure" OO language. It's a nice to have feature
in PHP but no "must".
I could live without them too, one could live without many things, but if I could use round wheels I wouldn´t use three-angularly wheels.
I´ll use my feet for now :)
Stanislav you made clear that static properties would mean major
changes to PHP and can't be implemented on the fly. Please take
it as a feature request for comming PHP versions (5?).
That´s a pity. We should embody it in bugs.php.net...
