I do not say that there are no people who would be happy that PHP
included bundled MySQL client. But I do think that the bundled
library has no added value for vast majority of people, even those
who actually use MySQL.
Have you aver heard of LAMP?
Linux,Apache,Mysql,PHP - one of the most popular combinations. That 150k really should hurt no one, even if PHP would be released daily...
