Hi all, I'm trying to get PHP4 to work on OpenBSD, preferably before the 4.0.2 release, and I was hoping to get a pointer from you guys to help me out. The first problem with OpenBSD (the symbol clash) fixed the segfault on startup. Unfortunately, when compiled as a DSO shared library for Apache now, the latest CVS generates a libphp4.so that isn't a shared executable. On OpenBSD 2.7-STABLE, I get this output: [root@brick]# ldd libphp4.so ldd: libphp4.so: no support for dynamic libraries On Redhat Linux 6.2, I get this: [root@total /root]# ldd /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so libgdbm.so.2 => /usr/lib/libgdbm.so.2 (0x401f0000) libpam.so.0 => /lib/libpam.so.0 (0x401f7000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x401ff000) libmysqlclient.so.6 => /usr/local/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.6 (0x40202000) libpng.so.2 => /usr/lib/libpng.so.2 (0x40215000) libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0x40232000) libresolv.so.2 => /lib/libresolv.so.2 (0x40241000) libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x40251000) libcrypt.so.1 => /lib/libcrypt.so.1 (0x4026d000) libnsl.so.1 => /lib/libnsl.so.1 (0x4029a000) libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x402b0000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x80000000) Obviously, something is going horribly wrong with the lib generation on OpenBSD. I used the following configure script: ./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/ --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs --with-gette xt --with-xml --with-imap=/usr/local The question really is: where do I start to track down this problem? Would it be a libtool issue? Any pointers would be appreciated! -- Anil Madhavapeddy, <anil@recoil.org>
