That none of the external library symbols can be found by the
httpd; would have helped to mention that at the start ... I need
more coffee :-)
E.g. when I try to start the httpd:
[root@brick]# apachectl start
/usr/libexec/ld.so: Undefined symbol "_mail_string" in
httpd:/usr/lib/apache/modules/libphp4.so
/usr/sbin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started
This happens for all the external libraries like c-client, gd,
snmp and so on.
