Sorry, I should have said something about that. I think people should
be able to use different LDAP libraries, right now it looks like this
requires a change in the linking order when compiling statically. I'm
no expert on dynamic linking but I assume you can get it to work if
you have the Oracle libs after the LDAP libs in the path.
So, I think it would be nice if we at least changed the order in the
static case. I've been looking into it, but I see no easy way to do
it. Would be nice if someone more knowledgeable could look into it.
Some reasons people might want to use the Oracle SDK:
No need to compile a library
SSL support
Reasons for something else:
LDAPv3 (Oracle might we working on this, not sure of status)
IPv6 (OpenLDAP 2.0 has IPv6 support, can be used without IPv6 in PHP)
Stig
