What I'm after is nothing more than being able to pass args by ref to
functions that have no args in the declaration. I have
allow_call_time_pass_reference turned off like a good boy. :)
I can see how references have become a sticky issue...Andre is the worst
of us. ;) This is why I approach the idea so tentatively, because it
could easily turn into another situation like references were a month or
so ago.
If it's possible, it's easy, and everyone agrees that it is a good idea,
even when weighed against possible impact, then I'd like to see it. If
it never comes around, I'll cope. :) Not really a big deal, just seemed
something that might provide more benefits than drawbacks in the long
run.
