I'm trying to build PHP4.0.3 with LDAP support as a DSO for Apache on Mac OS
X (Darwin). I applied patches supplied by someone at Apple to ltconfig to
help it understand shared libraries on Darwin. After doing so, the make
completes without reporting any errors.
However, the make hasn't actually worked. It does not create the .so file
nor does it create php. It does create a libphp4 dynamic library but it
seems suspiciously small (about 70K). I tried "make php" which completes
with an undefined error on main. I've spent quite a lot of time trying to
get a handle on what's going on with the build without success.
Has anyone built this on Darwin yet? Or, can someone offer some advice on
how to track down what's going on with the build?
TIA,
Ron
