Brilliant, I just regenerated your patches for 4.0.4 and committed
them. I don't actually use the OpenSSL module myself, but a couple
of attempts at openssl_seal() worked, and getting them there was
better than a broken build for SNMP.
If anyone else needs the patches vs 4.0.4, the cvsweb address is:

Thanks for your quick help with this! Btw, you missed one reference
to 0.9.6 -> 0.9.5, so I attached a small patch.
