It works just fine for me on a RedHat 5.2 system (that has been
upgraded to the 2.2.x kernel, so there may be some other configuration
issue at work). You can see it "in action" (using the example from
the GregorianToJD docs) at http://www.php.net/~jimw/calendar.php3
(and the source is at http://www.php.net/~jimw/calendar.phps).
One other contributing factor could be that www.php.net is
running mod_php3 as a dynamically loaded module, but I highly
doubt that is an issue. The error message you are getting is
consistent with an Apache+PHP installation that was not compiled
with "-rdynamic".
