Just to make it clear, I do *NOT* think that the rules you suggested should be employed by PHP itself. It's no coincidence I'm talking about 4.1.0 and 4.2.0 and not 4.1/4.2 - we have a unique situation right now which calls for 4.1.0/4.2.0 - the versions following it, as far as I can tell, would be 4.2.1, 4.2.2, etc. Zeev
