You have a
AC_ADD_INCLUDE($MYSQL_INCDIR)
in line 1246 (from the beta) of configure.in. That should take
care of that.
I've tested the beta so far on FreeBSD and Linux, both running
MySQL - no problems.
Are you using the CVS version or the beta?
