It does. According to the log,
kk@boss ~/Source/php3 $ grep -i mysql config.log
configure:7097: checking for MySQL support
configure:7215: gcc -E -I/opt/mysql/include/mysql conftest.c >/dev/null 2>conftest.out
configure:7205: checking for mysql.h
configure:7215: gcc -E -I/opt/mysql/include/mysql conftest.c >/dev/null 2>conftest.out
And checking manually, this is correct:
kk@boss ~/Source/php3 $ ls -l /opt/mysql/include/mysql/mysql.h
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 7612 Feb 11 14:01 /opt/mysql/include/mysql/mysql.h
A test build on Linux produced a valid Makefile and php binary,
a test build on Solaris with the same sources failed. I am now
upgrading autoconf and automake to the latest versions on Solaris
(autoconf 2.12 -> 2.13).
