It is a fact, that HTML Help Viewer can only work with IE,
and won't work without it. You are absolutely free to choose
any other formats, that are cross platform, like text, HTML
all-in-one, or HTML many-pages or PDF. So I would not say,
that we force anybody to do something. Of course the HTML
and text versions have no index, the multiple HTML files
version have no full text search, but those features in
HTML Help Viewer are develop by MS, and not by our community.
You may also complain, that the Palm versions can only be
viewed on palm. There may be "man" versions in the future,
which you will only be able to read with man.
I think we broadend the possibilities by hosting CHM downloads,
and have not forced anybody to use IE. It's their choice.
