I'm quiet ok with Goba. doc(or whatever).php.net will be for the documentation writters and a test bed for livedocs. Yannick was thinking about the online editing system I was providing with livedocs on my website. It allow anyone to edit the XML and send me a unified diff (using xdiff). But we already have a lot of mirrors, and the documentation for every type should be left in the main website (php.net, pear.php.net, etc). I'm okay with a new design and waiting for Davey's gf proposal :) (thank her a lot for us) didouWhat if users of the 123 mirror sites go to this single server? It will break down instantly. Livedocs is going to be available on all mirror sites, we just want to test it somewhere. Maybe even password protected if that is needed to not overwhelm the server with traffic. The mirror site view of livedocs will have the PHP.net look, that is not a question.I think it should. If livedocs run on it, I think that end french user, for example, should use this site instead of the documentation who are generate on php.net actualy. And the same for all language.Do you think that this site will be frequented by end users? I don't.I think this is actually something that we *must* do - this makes users feel right at home, and ensures a continuity between all the sites in the project.I also think that we need to ensure that we have continuity, but we don't want something where all the users have a old lycos 'branding' experience were every site looks / feels different with different toolbars, etc.
