Hi,
I've been wondering why several translated versions (especially for east
asian languages) of the chm manual distributed at php.net are
broken whilst a recompiled version built in my box from the files which
are extracted completely intact from the distributed chm file has no
problem. Now, I found the reason.
It actually turned out that, unless the font specified in the HTML Help
project file is installed, the build fails silently.
Therefore there seems a few choices for us to deal with this issue.
1. install all the required fonts in the machine used to build
the chms. But I have no idea where they can be obtained at all, as
there must be a license issue and virtually I'm not permitted to quickly
send them to you.
2. ask every person responsible for the translation to build a localised
chm in his/her windows box.
Then, what do you guys think about this?
Moriyoshi
