No, you can do it on linux too. Christian Weiske did that for pear at
some point.
We just don't want that toolchain to contaminate the rest of the system.

hhc.exe works just fine, no need to spend time on a new tool for it.
This thread took a unexpected turn, as if people are under the
impression we are dropping CHM or Windows boxes.
That is not the case. The Windows box at OmniTI was however
decommissioned a while ago as they no longer had space for it.
Yoshinari Takaoka mumumu@ took over the job and has a server building
the CHMs regularly since and they are then published on the rsync box
just like we always have.
