One thing that I don't like about BBEdit and PHP is that there is no bold (or the option of having it bold) for functions. Also, the fact that BBEdit doesn't highlight PHP functions, just perl things like "for" and "print" . jEdit is at http://jedit.sourceforge.net/ . You will need the new MRJ and the current JDK for Mac, but once you have it set up, it works well. Also, it is easy to go from Mac to Linux to Windows using the same editor.
