To all the Mac PHP hackers (I know you're out there):
A new text editor named Pepper has just been released for MacOS, you can
find it at http://www.hekkelman.com/pepper.html.
It supports syntax highlighting in many different languages, and you can
define your own highlighting styles. The best part is, the HTML mode
includes PHP commands.
It's $45 shareware - I'm switching from JEdit :)
