I would have to say that my situation is a bit mor complicated then. I installed it as an Apache module (of course, to achieve more speed). So what do I do now? I guess another question is, how do I add more features to PHP after the initial install? That might (at least temporarily) make my life much simpler, but I may still end up having to remove the program. This stuff should be in the documentation or in a book, but I have searched the documentation and read the Wrox Publishing book cover to cover and not found a single word of this sort of thing that seems pretty necessary much of the time. > > The downloads from the php site are generally source code, for *nix.
