Granted, everything gets broken down into procedural code anyway, but
you really can't beat OO style for abstracting interfaces and
encapsulating code. There are also numerous advantages to using
inheritance, and you can fake polymorphism pretty good in PHP. This
allows the construction of abstracted interfaces, such as the PEAR
database interface. That would be really hard to do (well) using
procedural PHP.
