Hello James and thank you for your reply
I were to register ignore_user_abort and the user were to abort, would does this mean that nothing would be displayed in the browser when the script has come to its' logical end?
The way I have understood the docs, and indeed in my little tests, this would seem to be the case. Please correct me, someone, if this assumption is incorrect.
I still have the problem that money has been debited from the customer's card, but he/she does not know about it, as nothing has been displayed in this/her browser. Hence, he/she could (maybe) try again and debit his/her card again.
Am I missing something here?
I am sure that people like Amazon.com or easyJet.com do not have these problems.
Someone who has successfully used PHP to implement a payment system, using a third party payment server, pls make a comment.

You cant, your best option is to say on the button (Click Here to confirm order - after this point you cannot stop the transaction) or somthing similar then register ignore_user_abort() so that the transaction does not stop when they abort.
