Hi people, please I need help with this:
I'm developing a Web Page for my University in the one wich we all (teachers
and students) will be able to make contributions from our houses or any
other place.
We will be able to send texts, files, etc. The texts will be stored in a
MySQL data base and the pahs of the files also.
To send Files I will use a FTP server under Red Hat Linux 7.2 I need too a
Web server, I will use Apache. A srcipt PHP will reed the information in the
data base and will draw the page.
My problem is the following:
-To send files via FTP, the users have to have a user name and a password in
the system.
- To see the contents of the page the users will need OTHER user name and
password because the user names and passwords of the Web service are not the
same ones that the user names and passwords of the system.
- I need personal information about the users like e-mail, curriculum, etc.
in the MySQL data base.
Then in conclusion I will have to give of high the users and their
passwords THREE TIMES: For FTP Service, for Web service and in my data base.
I'm sure that exists some form better to do this, I would thank you a lot
your town councils,
Tom.
