Hi, due to a design error in one of my applications(I never imagined that the customer would use it in a certain way), I once populated a select with about 3,000 entries, each about 20 bytes long. The page loaded very slowly, and when the load was complete, the select worked fine although it was quite tedious for the user to locate and select the required entry. Whilst I was debugging this condition, one of my tests attempted to load a page with 32,000 entries. This did not succeed, as both the browsers that I tested with(IE6 and NN6) got fed up with hanging around and timed out. I reworked the design to use multiple cascaded selects, each select populating the succeeding select. Result - the page loaded fairly fast and the user navigation was much easier. Best regards. . . Fred
